Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/18/15 – Cancer survivor, actor, writer and director Paul Lauden turns his renewed health and spirit into all new comedy webisodes called "Channel Surfing" that can be viewed at www.youtube.com/user/ChannelSurfingSeries
The 20-plus original sketches, says Lauden, “use physical comedy, silent film and silly, universal themes to create a unique brand of old fashioned sketch comedy with a modern twist.’” Some of the most popular, he says, are “Mr. Velcro and Zantraxanoid.”
Lauden’s show receives support from generous organizations like the http://www.whitefiretheatre.com/Whitefire.html, http://www.romanscinegear.com, http://www.kessprostudios.com/index2.html and individuals in the entertainment community.
At age 9, Channel Surfing star Lauden began acting at the renowned Old Globe Theatre and with a successful career as a stand-up comedian at age 18. He then entered San Francisco State University Cinema, graduating from their Theatre program. National Lampoon hired him to create the pilot The Late, Late, Morning Show from where Lauden took on writer/actor duties with http://www.JitteryMonkeys.com on a new Comedy/Horror Talk Show.
Lauden is also a member of the prestigious Whitefire Theatre Ensemble who performs and writes in their highly successful “Shorts” series. His Channel Surfing sketch Bad Kisser originally played at the 33 season strong Whitefire Theatre where Lauden performs as part of the ensemble.
The Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund (BMCF) supported Lauden through his own cancer treatment with daily needs not covered by insurance.
